Misc. Pics from August 2012
A couple weeks ago, the sky was a very strange but beautiful color!
My friend captures these photos of the double rainbow that evening.
Some new girls that I've been building a friendship with.
The man on the left lost his 39 year old wife in a car accident. He now has 4 teenage daughters to raise. This is a ceremony that is done for the deceased after they are cremated. You may notice the suitcase, broom, pillows, clothes, etc. that people have brought in order to provide for the dead in the afterlife.
Some of the butterflies I collected over the summer.
Another ceremony which is only done during this time of year. A table with traditional and favorite foods is prepared for each loved one who has passed away in order to provide for them in the afterlife.
Making dumplings with a Mongolian doctor who works in town.
Planting coffee trees.
A UXO (unexploded ordnance) or bombie that was discovered in the area where the coffee was being planted! This is something to be careful of when working in the soil here because during the Vietnam War era this country became the most bombed country in the world (per capita).
