Misc. November Pics 2014

I had a great trip to North Carolina to visit some friends and supporters and share about the ministry with their church family. 

My mom's friend treated us to front row seats at this concert.  Amazing talent and a very special way to begin the Advent season!

Another trip took me to Minnesota to be with old and new friends!

First experience on a long bus trip in America...NO comparison to bus trips in Laos! 

Shared a good morning of prayer together with about 20 friends/supporters at my home church. 

A lovely Thanksgiving meal with my parents and sister.  The small container above the plate contains 5 kernels of corn (the ration of food that the pilgrims had during their harshest point of survival)...and 1 thorn (symbolizing something difficult that happened this year that we still want to thank God for).

A competitive Scrabble game with my mom and sister. 

Up at 5am Black Friday to get fifty 99 cent poinsettia plants for my mom's ministry!

It was a cold Thanksgiving morning, but couldn't resist a snowy walk in the woods with my parents.

My parents had some complimentary tickets so we could ride one of the last electric trains in Wisconsin.

I was blessed to attend a retreat held in a nearby Bed & Breakfast.

Loved looking at all the antiques around the room from the 1800s. 

Was enriched to spend time with other global workers and people from local fellowships too. 

October ended with a little bit of snow :)
