Apple pie...one of my contributions to our meal. This is one of those meals where we have saved up special foods that we brought from America or other countries to try to make the meal authentic and special!
The family that hosted did a great job of making fun decorations and beautifully set tables. We opened the meal with a short explanation of American Thanksgiving, reading Lincoln's proclamation, singing a hymn, and prayer. 
Fitting in 20 adults and 12 kids took some coordination, but it worked out well : )
